This award-winning children’s theatre presents four productions each year based on classical literature. BHCT has been part of the northeast Iowa artistic community since 1964 and provides affordable, educational and entertaining productions that bring popular children's books to life on stage. The organization also offers classes, camps and the Junior Players Theatre Troupe. BHCT is well known for cultivating imagination and creating theatre magic.

Built in 1910 and restored in 1994, this 500 seat theatre is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. It houses a resident theatre company producing five plays annually. Many rentals and presentations include concerts, dance, comedies, musicals, magic, weddings and a movie series. Fun events for the landmark building include auctions, golf tournaments and more throughout the year.

The RiverLoop Amphitheatre is an impressive new Riverfront Renaissance venue located on the Cedar River and adjacent to the Waterloo Center for the Arts. This outdoor facility is utilized for performances and concerts, films, celebrations and festivals, special events, weddings, meetings, and more. The amphitheatre features a 2,400 square foot covered performance area with seating for up to 1,200, all overlooking the scenic Cedar River and downtown Waterloo skyline. The facility includes an Arts Mall - a 10,000 square foot elevated plaza area and Mark’s Park - a fun, interactive splash park and playground for children of all ages. The amphitheatre is located conveniently off the Riverwalk Loop trail system. This stunning facility was designed with aesthetics and multi-use capabilities in mind and has quickly become the focal point of downtown activity.

Celebrating nearly a century of presenting the best in a full range of classic and modern live theatre - comedies, dramas, musicals, and mysteries. WCP is one of the state’s top performing organizations and has an international reputation for new play production. Pre-audition classes and a costume rental shop are also available. WCP's success depends on finding a place for volunteers of any background in roles onstage and backstage.
